Most books totally bore me, but this one kept me riveted for hours! To call it 'intriguing' or 'fascinating' would be one heck of an understatement. I can't imagine anyone being the same again after reading this book. It never occurred to me that the hackneyed idea of a Deity could nevertheless be taken seriously, particularly by scientists. The subject of Corey's book is a controversial one: the anthropic principle, or whether the beautiful complexity of our universe is evidence of its creator. While not everyone will come away convinced that this "just right" world indicates the presence of God, Corey musters some fascinating ideas from contemporary science that may just open even the tightest-closed mind.
